Your notecards are due Monday (Sep 28) and Tuesday (Sep 29).
To clarify the assignment, you should each turn in at least 10 notecards which address allusions in 451. On the front of the notecard, you should have the quote from 451 along with the page number citation. You may enjoy decorating or illuminating the text creatively if you wish. On the back of each notecard, explain what the allusion is referring to (as specifically as possible) and also explain how knowing the allusion deepens your understanding of the text.
PRESERVATION HALL:
As this novel comes to its conclusion, we are looking at a few ways to embody Montag's dynamic philosophies.
Select a short passage of writing (from anywhere) which you believe is worthy of preservation. Memorize it and be ready to recite it to the class by NEXT WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. It should be at least 1 minute long. You should bring the selection to class on Monday and Tuesday.
In addition to working on memorizing a short passage, you will select a short quote from your passage which we will put on cardstock pages to display in the hallways. We will do this on Monday and Tuesday, so both your full passage and an excerpt of it are due on Monday/Tuesday.
